About Linda
Linda Joyce Altoonian, M.Ed. has worked as a writer, editor, teacher and award-winning journalist for the last two decades. She has been the Editor-in-Chief and featured writer of the authorized collector’s editions about baseball legend Mickey Mantle and singing star Selena.
She has been the Chief Editor of the nationally distributed magazines Sew Perfect and Kidz Fun Zone in which her series of children’s stories have been showcased.
An editor and featured columnist in the magazines Country Music Today, Home Expressions, Texas Business, The Welcome Mat, Texas Athlete, The Longhorn Journal, and Billy Bob’s Anniversary issue, she has been published in genres including education, health, business, children’s, adolescent, biography, sports, and self-help. She has taught journalism and advised publications on both the high school and college levels.
She is an author, radio speaker, eldercare advocate and aging consultant. For the last three years, she has been writing for multiple newspapers and the wire service an important and popular, weekly column called Dear Ageless. About Aging in America, Dear Ageless is a blend of extensive research, unique solutions and astute advice. The column is derived from her personal experience with caring for the ill and aging, and from the knowledge of experts who serve on the Dear Ageless Advisory Board.
